Good morning and a very warm welcome to you
EXPECTEDWINNERS.COM BLOG
As usual, both the LAYS were stuffed and yesterday was another good winning day.
I am hoping that the ground stays as it is now and no snow, as forecast, descends on us, as the big race this weekend sees the Betfair Chase at Haydock taking place. Dan and Harry Skelton, who at the moment top the trainers’ table by half £mill, bring out
“Grey Dawning”, a lovely brute of an animal and probably the best horse the Skeltons have.
Could this be our first British trained Gold Cup winner since “Native River” in 2018?
Two flies in the pot here – one “Grey Dawning” who has not won first time out and the second – Willie Mullins has supplemented “Capadano” for £7,200. To Willie that is petty cash, to me that’s enough to choke a donkey!! If the price is right, it might be an EW BET.
Talking of which “Grey Dawning” at the moment is 14 to 16/1 for the Gold Cup, but if he wins on Saturday, we will be lucky to get 8’s. Whatever you do TAKE (with a run).
Kind regards
ADRIAN
