As the clock passed mid-day yesterday, in a sleepy little village called Glantane in the heart of Ireland’s County Cork, the lords tears fell on a huge crowd of family, friends, (and people that never met him) for young Michael O’Sullivan, a young jockey with a life full of success and a future beyond his dreams – his life cut short by his death through a tragic fall.
At the quaint little church of St John the Baptist, the gathering crowd were met by the parish priest Gerad Coleman who told the crowd that the service would be screened in a local hall for those that needed shelter. A great hush was met with not a soul moving, the respect and dignity told the world of the passing of a life that was precious and respected.
Michael’s body, like all of ours, is only a vehicle to see us through this life, his spirit is now released to be with his family and friends through their life.
